Color Disc Patterns


Multiple abstract views of wafer-thin, colorful discs bisecting and fading into each other to form simple and complex patterns that compose a small portion of a larger scene. Slow-racking focus, by remote triggering the shutter while slowly turning the manual focus ring, with varying exposure and distances helped create soft color blends on the dark background while obscuring sources of light.

With a white blaze on the nose, insatiable curiosity, and a strategically impish attitude, a family Blue Mitted Ragdoll cat is sure to help de-stress at the end of a long day. A unique characteristic about Ragdoll cats, when compared to other breeds, is how they will lay down and stretch out flat on their back for attention or to relax.  The one pictured here loves yarn, feather toys, and sometimes playing with tennis balls. He lives in his own world for the most part, but when he seeks attention, a purring puff ball can be difficult to resist.

Trail Boardwalks

A fun element to hiking new trails beyond seeing nature up close is encountering stretches of wooden boardwalks leading across marshy land and over water or small valleys. Perhaps part of the interest in seeing trail boardwalks is the irony, that trees in the area were cleared and replaced with repetitive patterned pathways made of wood. While boardwalks might represent the piece of forest replaced by forest parts for human travel, they nevertheless lead explorers further into the trek by enticing hikers with unknowns ahead.
