Midway Geyser Basin


Three predominate features of the Midway Geyser Basin at Yellowstone National Park are the Excelsior Geyser, Grand Prismatic Spring, and Turquoise Pool, each exhibiting captivating deep blue steam pools. Images of the natural wonder here were captured during a brief park drive-through which inspired future trips to Yellowstone to spend more time and view geysers under varying conditions; daytime temperature contributed to fair amounts of steam rising of Excelsior and the Grand Prismatic spring.

With a white blaze on the nose, insatiable curiosity, and a strategically impish attitude, a family Blue Mitted Ragdoll cat is sure to help de-stress at the end of a long day. A unique characteristic about Ragdoll cats, when compared to other breeds, is how they will lay down and stretch out flat on their back for attention or to relax.  The one pictured here loves yarn, feather toys, and sometimes playing with tennis balls. He lives in his own world for the most part, but when he seeks attention, a purring puff ball can be difficult to resist.

Trail Boardwalks

A fun element to hiking new trails beyond seeing nature up close is encountering stretches of wooden boardwalks leading across marshy land and over water or small valleys. Perhaps part of the interest in seeing trail boardwalks is the irony, that trees in the area were cleared and replaced with repetitive patterned pathways made of wood. While boardwalks might represent the piece of forest replaced by forest parts for human travel, they nevertheless lead explorers further into the trek by enticing hikers with unknowns ahead.
